You’re going on holiday to Sri Lanka this year and don’t want to miss out on your favourite sport, kitesurfing? No problem – you can follow your trip and rent your kite gear with us! At De Silva Kite Center in Kalpitiya you will find the latest kite equipment from North and accessories from Mystic! You can either rent kite equipment by the day, depending on the wind conditions, or in blocks of 1-3 weeks.
Bring your own kite gear and store for free!
If you prefer to ride your own kites, you are welcome to store your kite equipment at De Silva for free. We offer video-monitored kite storage directly at the hotspot Kalpitiya Big Lagoon. You can wash your kites with fresh water after each kite session and leave them pumped up to dry at De Silva Windresort. If you need tools, such as a screwdriver or similar, then simply contact our kite instructors or the kite station on site. They will help you with all your issues!

Here at our center in Sri Lanka we rent you the top equipment of North Kiteboarding. As a result the new North kites and boards are among the best on the market and it is our pleasure to offer them to you during your kitesurfing vacation in Sri Lanka. Please register that we offer you a kite material insurance service for 25€/day. So that in case of breakage you don’t have to pay for the repair yourself. Just ask for that service on site!

What is in the “Complete Pack” for kite gear rental in Sri Lanka included:
- Kites from the kite pool and a proper kite bar. The size of the kite depends on the wind conditions, your ability and your physical and personal requirements
- Kite boards: Twin Tip for beginners to advanced riders, Freestyle boards and Wave boards
- Harness (seat & hip) with leash
- Kite pump, tools, soft water
- Boat transfer, Beach assistance and Beach hut
- Boat rescue 1x per week. For further boat rescues we charge 3€.
Which items should you bring for your kite surfing holidays?
- Bring your refillable water bottle. There is a water station at the beach hut!
- Take a towel with you or some dry clothes in case you feel cold easily.
- Be always careful to protect yourself from the sun: sun hat or cap, sun glasses, sun cream.
- If your kite vacation lasts several days, consider substituting magnesium or eat Sri Lankan bananas.

Can I buy some kite stuff on site?
- Yes, we offer used and new North Kite equipment including Accessories from North and Mystic.
- Very popular are the De Silva Lycras that are also a nice souvenir for future kite days and protect from the sun.
- We offer caps, board shorts, shirts and other surf fashion in our surf shop.
- You can buy sun glasses from Athletics, Red Bull and C-Line.
- If you don't want to rent shoes with us you can buy your own pair of surf shoes in our surf store.
