The kite school is located directly at the Big Kalpitiya Lagoon which offers exactly the conditions needed for kite beginners:
Flat and shallow waters, no currents, no obstacles, a spot that is safe and that makes it as easy as possible for the kitesurfing beginner during the learning process. Very often kitesurfing beginners come to us, who already have made experiences, even have done a course at another spot, but still have too little know how to fly the kite in a controlled way.
Our motto is “We’ll make you ride!” – we are surfers ourselves, we love to feel the elements – Wind. Water. Sky. At De Silva, our first priority is to teach you the water sport and open up a new world for you. Therefore we offer special kiteboarding beginner lessons and prices for kitesurfing beginners with experience. A very successful method is the 1:1 training. Here your instructor will pick you up at your existing level and guide you further until you are able to ride on your own. The easy conditions of the kite spot allow you to ride on your own very quickly.
